First PH Novotel soon to rise in QC

FDA marks 51st Anniversary with first satellite office

The Araneta Group, the pioneer in entertainment and leisure development in the country, celebrated the structural-completion of Novotel Manila-Araneta Center in a recent topping off ceremony. The hospitality giant's first and only hotel in the Philippines is at the tail end of construction, and is poised to invigorate local tourism and bring in revenues to Quezon City.

Well positioned to cater to the needs of more than 56,000 registered businesses in Quezon City, the hotel also aims to take advantage of the increasing volume of domestic and international tourists. Its strategic location, at the intersection of two major thoroughfares (EDSA and Aurora Boulevard), major mass railway lines (MRT 3 and LRT 2) and proximity to all major provincial bus stations, also gives it the strategic advantage as a preferred venue for events north of the Metropolis.

Celebrating its milestone 51st anniversary, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently inaugurated its first-ever satellite office at the AliMall Government Center in Araneta Center, Quezon City. The move reinforces the public health service agency’s efforts to expand its reach and bring its services closer to the general public in a central, comfortable and convenient location.

The FDA branch will feature the Public Assistance, Information and Receiving (PAIR) IT system, which will facilitate receiving applications intended for licensing, market authorization/certificates, and permits. The FDA clients can transact directly, whether submitting or complying with documents. A cashier will also be made available to receive payments or provide guidance in paying via bank or online.
